European Union Ambassador visits Puerto Plata Industrial Free Zone Park

Ambassador Katja Afheldt, head of the European Union Delegation in the Dominican Republic, together with María Luisa Benítez-Donoso, political head of the Embassy, ​​paid a visit to the Puerto Plata Industrial Free Zone Corporation.

In the activity that was headed by the president of the Board of Directors, Edgar Martínez, who was accompanied by Ana María Frías, secretary of the board; Mileyka Brugal representing the Chamber of Commerce and Production of Puerto Plata, José Daniel Jiménez, member and the executive director Karina Abbott.

The Puerto Plata Industrial Free Zone is an industrial development entity managed by the Puerto Plata Industrial Free Zone Corporation, Inc. It is a non-profit mixed company, with the participation of the state and the private sector.

Its direction is in charge of a broad representation of business, educational, governmental and municipal organizations of the city of Puerto Plata and the country, represented by prominent men from companies who work honorarily for the development of the sector. It is classified and registered with Code No. 02-000 as a Free Zone Operator to carry out the activity of "promoting, developing and managing the Puerto Plata Industrial Free Zone".
