Advensus and Puerto Plata Free Trade Zone develop Job Fair

The day seeks to attract 300 young people who are fluent in English to establish operations such as Contact Centers in Puerto Plata.

From yesterday, Friday, April 21, and until Saturday, April 22, the Advensus contact center company, together with the Puerto Plata Industrial Free Zone, and in coordination with the Ministry of Labor, is holding a job fair, at 9:00 a.m. the morning to 6:00 in the afternoon, in the Square of the UASD-Puerto Plata.

The day seeks to cover some 300 jobs available in this thriving sector for all residents in the northern region of the country, with the aim of establishing themselves in this province in the short term.

As requirements, they indicated that the candidates must be high school graduates, have advanced knowledge of the English language and have skills in the use of computers.

Giacomo Traverso, general manager for the Dominican Republic of Advensus, stated that this is a good time to expand to Puerto Plata, due to the dynamism experienced by the economic sectors of this destination.

For her part, Mileyka Brugal, president of the Puerto Plata Industrial Free Zone corporation, said that the intention of incorporating Advensus to Puerto Plata opens a scenario for young people who have not entered the world of work, giving them the opportunity to develop their skills and productive spirit together with one of the main providers of Information Technology (IT) solutions at a corporate and institutional level in the Caribbean and Central America.

He thanked the Ministry of Labor, the UASD Puerto Plata, and the National Council of Free Zones, in the person of its director Daniel Lizardo, together with his promotion team, for all the effort to continue promoting the Free Zones sector and its various economic lines.
